I strive, in photographing civil unions, to capture images that go beyond professionalism, elegance and fun, to become personal. Photos that make you say, with delighted recognition, "that's so....her! (or him)!

I wish to make people feel comfortable so I can photograph them being themselves.

Years of experience have taught me to observe unobtrusively, to move discreetly, and to record empathically. I try to combine sensitivity and respect with a sense of joy and celebration. While flowing spontaneously in the moment, I am mindful of the place in a family's history of the images I am making.
